Student Work

Websites

Students in JRNL 311: Electronic Media are required to produce numerous pieces of Web content, from blogs to full-fledged multimedia Web sites. Working in small groups, students are challenged to think broadly about how best to cover their topics with video, audio, photography, interactivity, text and links. Students leave the course with experience writing HTML and CSS as well as Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver.

The final project in the class is the culmination of the students' work throughout the semester. Here are a sample from past semesters:

Georgia Aquarium
An audio/video look at how the Georgia Aquarium is supporting endangered animals throughout the world.

Campus Master Plan
An examination of the campus Master Plan with video interviews and an interactive map.

Zoo Atlanta

Emory Musicians Alliance

Center for Puppetry Arts
