Computer Lab
The Journalism Program has a state-of-the-art computer facility. The room features an advanced projection system that allows instructors to toggle between media sources including a desktop computer, document camera, VCR and DVD player. In addition, class visitors can easily plug their laptops (Mac or Windows) into the system, permitting them to bring prepared presentions on their area of expertise.
The room is open to journalism students for special projects on a selective basis. Designed to facilitate both print and electronic publishing, the lab features 18 Powermac G5s with 1 GB of RAM, all running Web browsers, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Fireworks, Microsoft Office 2004 and LearnLink, Emory's messaging software. Two laser printers provide letter-size and tabloid-size printing.
